What is NuPasta?
NuPasta is a low calorie, high fibre, gluten free alternative to traditional pasta. While a meal portion (210g) of regular cooked pasta contains about 300 calories and 2g of dietary fibre, the same amount of NuPasta contains 25 calories and 6g of dietary fibre.
Why is NuPasta so low in calories?
NuPasta is made from konjac roots which is very rich in dietary fibre. By replacing the wheat content of pasta with the fibre of the konjac plant, NuPasta is a fibre based pasta . As there is no wheat, barley or rye (and thus no starch ), NuPasta is low calorie and gluten free.
